ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় প্ৰেছ দিৱস।

     প্ৰতি বছৰে ১৬ নৱেম্বৰৰ দিনটোক সমগ্ৰ দেশে ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় প্ৰেছ দিৱসৰূপে পালন কৰে। উল্লেখ্য যে, ১৯৬৬ চনৰ ১৬ নৱেম্বৰত প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল অফ ইণ্ডিয়া স্থাপন কৰা হৈছিল। এই দিনটোৰ পিছৰে পৰা প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল অফ ইণ্ডিয়াই (পিচিআই /PCI) নৈতিক প্ৰহৰী হিচাপে কাম কৰি আহিছে যাতে সংবাদ মাধ্যমে এই শক্তিশালী মাধ্যমৰ পৰা আশা কৰা উচ্চ মানদণ্ড বজাই ৰাখে।

⛔ইতিহাস–
     প্ৰেছ আয়োগে ভাৰতত সংবাদ মাধ্যমৰ স্বীধনতা সুৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ এটা প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল গঠন কৰাৰ পৰিকল্পনা কৰিছিল। ১৯৬৬ চনৰ ৪ জুলাইত ভাৰতত প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল স্থাপন কৰা হৈছিল যি সেই চনৰে ১৬ নৱেম্বৰৰ পৰা কাৰ্যকৰী হয়। সেয়েহে প্ৰতি বছৰে ১৬ নৱেম্বৰ দিনটোক ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় প্ৰেছ দিৱস হিচাপে পালন কৰা হয়।

       ভাৰতৰ প্ৰেছ আয়োগে ১৯৫৬ চনত প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল অফ ইণ্ডিয়া স্থাপনৰ পৰামৰ্শৰে ই  সাংবাদিকতাত পেছাদাৰী নৈতিকতা বজাই ৰখাৰ সৰ্বেশ্ৰেষ্ঠ উপায় হ'ব বুলি সিদ্ধান্তত উপনীত হৈছিল।
      ১৯৭৮ চনৰ প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল আইনৰ অধীনত ১৯৬৬ চনত ভাৰতীয় প্ৰেছ কাউন্সিল গঠন কৰা হৈছিল ||

        प्रेस काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया (PCI), एक वैधानिक और अर्ध-न्यायिक प्रतिष्ठान की स्थापना के उपलक्ष्य में देश भर में हर साल 16 नवंबर को राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस मनाया जाता है. भारतीय प्रेस परिषद ने इस दिन काम करना शुरू किया था. यह दिन भारत में एक स्वतंत्र और जिम्मेदार प्रेस की उपस्थिति का प्रतीक है. विपरीत परिस्थितियों के बावजूद पत्रकारों को समाज का आईना कहा जाता है, जो सच्चाई दिखाता है. यह दिन प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता और समाज के प्रति उसकी जिम्मेदारियों का प्रतीक है.

📚 राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस का इतिहास●
     साल 1956 में, प्रथम प्रेस आयोग ने पत्रकारिता की नैतिकता को बनाए रखने की जिम्मेदारी को पूरा करने के लिए वैधानिक प्राधिकरण के साथ एक निकाय बनाने का निर्णय लिया. आयोग ने महसूस किया कि प्रेस के लोगों से जुड़ने और किसी भी मुद्दे पर मध्यस्थता करने के लिए एक प्रबंध निकाय की जरूरत है.

     1966 में, 16 नवंबर को, पीसीआई (Press Council of India) का गठन किया गया था और इसके बाद, परिषद की स्थापना के उपलक्ष्य में हर साल 16 नवंबर को राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस मनाया जाता है. प्रेस काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट के अनुसार, परिषद की अध्यक्षता परंपरागत रूप से सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश और 28 अतिरिक्त सदस्य करते हैं, जिनमें से 20 भारत में संचालित मीडिया आउटलेट्स के सदस्य हैं. पांच सदस्यों को संसद के सदनों से नामित किया जाता है और शेष तीन सांस्कृतिक, कानूनी और साहित्यिक क्षेत्रों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं.

           National Press Day – The 16th of November – is symbolic of a free and responsible press in India. This was the day on which the Press Council of India started functioning as a moral watchdog to ensure that not only did the press maintain the high standards expected from this powerful medium but also that it was not fettered by the influence or threats of any extraneous factors. Though there are several Press or Media Councils world over, the Press Council of India is a unique entity in as-much-as this is the only body to exercise an authority even over the instruments of the state in its duty to safeguard the independence of the press.

           Recommending the establishment of Press Council in 1956 the Ist Press Commission had concluded that the best way of maintaining professional ethics in journalism would be to bring into existence a body with statutory authority, of people principally connected with industry whose duty it would be to arbitrate. To this end the Press Council of India was established and the body that was evolved since November 16, 1966 has not belied the objective.

            November 16 therefore personifies a responsible and free press in the country. All those who cherish it, so commemorate the day. The National Press Day on November 16 every year is commemorated in befitting manner by the Council. Since the year 1997 following Seminars have been organized by the Press Council on occasion of National Press Day (November 16).

       National Press Day  is an Indian professional holiday celebrated on November 16 every year. Its main task is to emphasize the importance of free and responsible press in a democratic society.

       National Press Day was initiated by the Press Council of India (PCI), a statutory body responsible for governing the conduct of the print media and ensuring that the freedom of speech is maintained. The Press Council was established on July 4, 1966 by the Parliament and officially started working on November 16 of the same year. The anniversary of the latter event was proclaimed National Press Day.

       National Press Day was created to raise public awareness of the role of a free, pluralistic and independent news media in the development of the democratic society. On the occasion of the holiday, the Press Councils organizes various seminars and other events and activities dedicated to the most important issues of modern journalism.
